In the first quarter of 2024, the top travel and local apps on the Android platform in Greece showed varied performance in terms of weekly downloads and active users. This data, sourced from Sensor Tower, offers a clear insight into user engagement with these apps.

The app FREENOW - Taxi and more saw its weekly downloads fluctuate, starting at 5.8K in early January and peaking at around 6.8K in early February. By the end of March, downloads stabilized around 5.2K. Active users remained relatively steady, starting the quarter at 26.1K and ending at 24.8K, with a peak of 28.4K in early February.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel experienced a slight decline in weekly downloads over the quarter. January began with approximately 4.2K downloads, but by the end of March, this number had decreased to 3.5K. Active users, however, remained robust, starting at 89.1K and peaking at 92.3K in early January before settling at around 86.4K by the end of the quarter.

Aegean Airlines had a more varied download trend, starting with 3.7K in early January, peaking at 4.8K shortly after, then gradually declining to around 2.6K by the end of March. Active user numbers followed a similar trend, starting at 13.8K and peaking at 15.8K in early January before ending the quarter at 11.6K.

The app BPme Greece showed a significant drop in weekly downloads throughout the quarter. Starting strong with 7.9K downloads in mid-January, the numbers fell consistently, ending at just over 2K by late March. There was no active user data available for this app during the quarter.

Lastly, Google Earth experienced a notable spike in downloads, particularly in late February, where downloads jumped to 7.3K from a baseline of around 2.6K earlier in the quarter. Active user numbers remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly between 24.2K and 25K throughout the quarter.
